On 2 March Alexander Otroshchenkov was sentenced to 4 years in prison. Please send him greetings.

 

Alexander Otroshchenkov is a journalist of independent website Charter97.org and the press-secretary of presidential candidate Andrei Sannikov.

 

He was detained after 19 December 2010 and accused of participation in mass riot. In a propaganda trial on 2 March he was sentenced to 4 years in prison

According to his wife Alexander Otroshchenkov was been tortured in prison by the KGB.

Libereco, and Amnesty International as well, recognizes him as a political prisoner and calls for his immediate und unconditional release.

 

On 22 March Alexander Otroshchenkov became 30 years old. Please send him a greeting card as a sign of hope. It's important that he can receive many greetings which will bolster him.
