Weeks after the rigged presidential election on 9 August, the mass protests and strikes in Belarus continue. The outcome of the demonstrations against Alexander Lukashenko remains uncertain. If you need an assessment or a commentary for your reporting on Belarus, we may be able to help you.
Libereco finds it important that the voices of Belarusian experts are heard. We would therefore like to particularly refer to the extensive list of Belarusian foreign language experts from the Eastern European country: www.belarusexperts.info.
If you would also like to receive comments from a German, Swiss or Dutch perspective, feel free to contact Libereco. Our representatives are available for media inquiries in German, English, Dutch and Russian.
The German-Swiss human rights organisation Libereco has been dedicated to the protection of human rights in Belarus since 2009. Our members regularly travel to the country. Especially these days we are following the development in Belarus very closely and are in constant exchange with our Belarusian partner organisations, as well as initiatives and individuals.
